Samuel Pope began working at Rizk Law in 2017 as a law clerk and joined as an Associate Attorney in 2019. Samuel grew up in in eastern Kansas where he received his bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Kansas. During college, Samuel spent his free time tutoring fellow students and volunteering with local non-profits such as the Kansas Visiting Nurses and Lawrence Humane Society. Before moving to Portland, Samuel worked for the non-profit Community Living Opportunities as a direct support professional, and then a manager, providing assistance to adults with learning disabilities.
Samuel came to Portland to study law at Lewis & Clark Law School, where he graduated Cum Laude. During law school Samuel was the submissions editor for Animal Law Review and the Vice-president of personal injury for the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, Lewis & Clark chapter.
Samuel has a strong drive to fight for those who have been wronged and he brings his compassion, negotiation skills and advocacy skills to every case. Samuel’s background in Chemistry, Biology and Physics is particularly helpful for cases involving medical malpractice, traumatic brain injury and trucking accidents.
Sam spends most of his spare time entertaining his two dogs, hiking, camping, swimming, cooking delicious vegan food and watching the latest shows on Netflix.
