PORTLAND, OR – A woman was sent to the hospital after crashing her vehicle into a Portland Police cruiser late Monday night.

According to a report by KGW, the woman was attempting to drive across all lanes on Northeast Sandy Boulevard to turn onto Northeast Prescott Street when she struck the cruiser at about 11:19 p.m.

The patrol car had its lights and sirens when the crash occurred as the officer was responding to a prior incident.

The woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. She was later cited for DUI and reckless driving.
