PORTLAND, OR – Police have identified the woman who was fatally struck by a vehicle in northeast Portland last Tuesday, December 21st.

According to KOIN, 70-year-old Vivian Gayle Phillips and another victim were hit while walking in the area of Northeast Fremont Street and 44th Avenue.

Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was rushed to a local hospital, where they remain as of this writing.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police. It is unclear if that individual will face any charges in connection to the deadly crash.
