Pedestrian killed, another injured in NE Portland crash

PORTLAND, OR – One person was killed and another was rushed to the hospital after they were struck by a vehicle in northeast Portland yesterday.

According to a report by KOIN, the victim were struck in the area of Northeast Fremont Street and Northeast 44th Street.

One individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was rushed to a local hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

The events leading up to the crash are unclear at this time.
