Update: Victim identified in fatal north Portland pedestrian accident

PORTLAND, OR – Police have identified the woman killed in a noth Portland pedestrian collision early last Friday morning.

According to a report by KATU, 56-year-old Laurie Lawyer stepped out to pick up something that had fallen from her pickup truck near Going Street and Interstate Avenue when she was fatally struck by an oncoming vehicle.

An unidentified man was also hit by the vehicle. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition.

No charges have been filed in connection to the fatal crash at this time.
