PORTLAND, OR – One teenager was killed and another was injured in a single-vehilce crash in the Battle Ground area late Tuesday night.
According to a report by KOIN, the 16-year-old driver of a Nissan pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehilce collided with a power pole near 152nd Avenue and 319th Avenue. The truck then continued on before slamming into a large oak tree and catching fire.
Two teens were extricated from the vehicle. An unidentified 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup was rushed to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
