Robbery suspect arrested after crashing in North Portland

PORTLAND, OR – A robbery suspect out of Vancouver was arrested after crashing their vehicle in North Portland early Tuesday morning.

According to KATU, the suspect attempted to rob multiple people at gunpoint in Vancouver before fleeing down I-5 shortly before 7 a.m.

Vancouver police terminated the chase for safety reasons. However, the vehicle was found crashed near the intersection of Lombard Street and Commercial Avenue in North Portland.

It is unclear if any injuries were sustained in the wreck. One identified suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
