ST. HELENS, OR – An Oregon State Trooper was seriously injured when his vehicle was hit by a fleeing suspect in Columbia County yesterday.
According to a report by KATU, the collision occurred at about 3:30 p.m. along Highway 30, just west of St. Helens.
It is unclear what prompted the chase or the identity of the suspect at this time.
The trooper was rushed to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in critical condition. His identity is being withheld at this time.
