OREGON CITY, OR – A motorcyclist was killed on Saturday night after colliding with a van in the Oregon City area.

According to a report by KPTV, the crash occurred at about 7:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the freeway, near the exit to Dunes Drive.

Troopers with the Oregon State Police say the motorcyclist, 33-year-old Daniel Lucero, ran a red light and slammed head-on into a passenger van.

Lucero was pronounced dead at the scene.
