GERVAIS, OR – A woman suffered fatal injuries after a multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck near Gervais last Friday morning.

According to the Salem Statesman Journal, 77-year-old Judith Harley was riding in a Nissan when it collided with a Peterbilt dump truck on Highway 99E, just north of downtown Gervais at about 11:36 a.m.

Harley was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, an 80-year-old Woodburn man, was rushed to Salem Hospital in serious condition.

The dump truck driver was unhurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation as of this writing.
