Will Chauvin Guilty Verdict Result in More Police Reform?

image of solitary gavelRizk Law is committed to obtaining justice for all people injured at the hands of another. A jury has now found former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Through our justice system and this jury’s deliberation, George Floyd’s murderer was held accountable. While some progress has been made, much work is needed for the United States to become a truly equitable nation.

Rizk Law joins other like minded persons and organizations to urge the Oregon Legislature to pass several police reform bills to increase transparency, justice and accountability. The time is NOW.
