Attorney Richard Rizk Serves as Transportation Ambassador for PBOT

Attorney Richard Rizk is proud to serve as a Transportation Ambassador for the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). Ambassadors are volunteers from our community who represent the bureau at community events and activities. Being an ambassador doesn’t take up much personal time, either! All volunteers are asked to work a minimum of two events each year, but they can choose how they want to help and which events they attend. You may pick from talking at exciting community events, assisting with guided walks, or helping with other projects.

Ambassadors also share information to residents about safely getting around Portland, saving them money, increasing physical activity, reducing road congestion, and preserving air quality. With so many drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists sharing our roads every day, being a Transportation Ambassador is a rewarding experience as we advocate for all road users to share the road safely and courteously.

Events Portland Transportation Ambassadors Recently Held

We hold various events throughout the year that benefit our community and bring residents together. For example, we have been holding the Get Outside to Get Going series this summer. In one event, we teamed up with SKATEMOBILE, where event attendees could enjoy interactive exhibits and roller skate downtown.

PBOT Rizk Law Bike Brake

Every Friday until the end of September, ambassadors are also hosting Bike Brake. The live Q&A will allow residents to ask questions on how they can stay safe when riding a bike throughout Portland. The PBOT also hosts experts from Portland to discuss the behind-the-scenes work of how transportation programs, plans, and projects work in the city.

Events happen all the time, so be sure to check out the Bureau of Transportation’s Facebook page to see how you can participate.
