PORTLAND, OR – One pedestrian was killed and another was seriously injured when they were hit by a car in North Portland early this morning.
According to KOIN, the victims were hit shortly before 4:30 a.m. near North Going Street and North Interstate Avenue.
An unidentified female victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The male pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. It is unclear if that individual will face any charges at this time.
The intersection was shut down for several hours while investigators worked at the scene.
