EUGENE, OR – A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a semi-truck in north Eugene on Monday morning.

According to a report by KMTR, the crash took place shortly before 10 a.m. within the intersection of West 5th Avenue and Seneca Road, just east of Bertelsen Nature Park.

The unidentified bicyclist was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.

The driver of the semi remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. It is unclear if they will face any charges at this time.
