PORTLAND, OR – Two people were killed on Saturday evening after a motorcycle was struck by multiple vehicles on Highway 219, KOIN reports.

The collision occurred when 62-year-old Judee Fehsenfeld was attempting to merge onto the highway near Champoeg Road and struck the BMW K16 motorcycle. The motorcycle then skidded out of control into the oncoming lane, where it was struck by a second vehicle.

Both riders on the motorcycle, H. Steven Sorensen, 78, and his passenger, Joanne De May, 77, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

All three occupants in the second vehicle were hospitalized with minor injuries.

Fehsenfeld was uninjured. It is unclear if she will face any charges at this time.
