Fibromyalgia Commonly Denied by LTD Insurers

Something is physically wrong, but you aren’t sure what. You see doctor after doctor. Finally, a rheumatologist diagnoses fibromyalgia. The rheumatologist confirms that fibromyalgia interferes with your ability to work.

 

So, you file a disability claim with your long term disability carrier who requests all your medical records. Finally, after jumping through hoop after hoop, the Long Term Disability denies your claim perhaps claiming that no objective test verifies fibromyalgia. Problem is few if any tests exist that can objectively verify fibromyalgia.
